The trickiest aspect of this painting was that I had no photos of the two dogs together. Both hyper and playful, getting the two of them to actually be still and close enough to get a picture was impossible. Luckily, I had one great photo of Penni the corgi, and Heidi the dachshund looks like every other black doxie.
